Our fees for standard consultations are $210.
If you have a referral from your GP under a Mental Health Care Plan, you are eligible to receive a Medicare rebate of $136.35 for a clinical psychologist for up to 10 sessions. This means, that the out-of-pocket expense, or "gap fee" for each individual consultation is $73.65.
You are eligible to receive up to 10 Medicare rebated sessions per calendar year.
Psychologists at Soul Psychology are registered to provide psychological services under Medicare's Better Access to Mental Health Care Initiative.
Please note, if referred under a GP mental healthcare plan, your psychologist is required to report on your mental health, treatment and progress with your GP/referrer. This is to ensure a shared understanding between your medical practitioner and your psychologist about the presenting issues/problems and to ensure a consistent approach to your mental health care and treatment.
If you have been the victim of violence or a crime in which you have been injured, or have suffered as a result, you can apply for additional support and financial assistance from the Victims of Crime Assistance Tribunal. VOCAT can cover the costs of counselling for you and cover any other medical and safety-related expenses.

If you have been recently involved in a transport accident, you may be eligible to receive funded mental health treatment under TAC. You do not need initial TAC approval to receive an initial 6 sessions, but you will need a referral from your GP. You will then need to lodge a claim with the TAC and provide your psychologist with your claim number.
Please note that the TAC may request further information about your injury, treatment plan and progress updates from your psychologist if you are accessing TAC funding for mental health. This is to help them understand the treatment you need, your progress, and will inform them whether additional funding is required.

If you are a current or former member of the Australian Defence Force (ADF), or have served at least 1 day in the ADF, you can access free mental health treatment through non-liability healthcare. This means that there is no need to establish that your mental health condition was caused by your service, and there is no out-of-pocket expense for psychological counselling.
You will need a GP referral, and to provide the details of your Veteran White Card. You should have automatically have received your Veteran White Card, but if you have not, you can apply online through the DVA government website.

If you have sustained a work-place psychological injury and have lodged a work cover claim, your psychology sessions may be funded through your WorkCover insurance agency or employer. You will need a referral from a medical practitioner (e.g., your GP), and will need to provide your workcover claim number and other relevant details to your psychologist.
Psychology sessions will be aimed at providing psychological support and treatment for your workplace injury, increasing your level of functioning and facilitate your to return to work where possible.
Please note your WorkCover agent may require information about your mental health care, treatment and progress updates to inform your current work capacity, and functioning, and make important decisions about what, if any, additional treatment or supports are required to help you recover from your workplace injury.

If you have an NDIS plan that is "self-managed" or managed by a "Plan manager", you may be able to access NDIS funding to see a psychologist at Soul Psychologist and Counselling, if psychology support is included in your plan.
If your NDIS funding is NDIA-managed you can only use NDIS registered providers. Soul Psychology and Counselling is not a registered NDIS provider.
Participants whose NDIS funds are self-managed or managed by a Plan Manager are free to choose NDIS registered providers and non-registered providers.
If you are not sure how your plan is managed, or whether psychology support is included in your NDIS plan, please contact your NDIS support coordinator, or local area coordinator to clarify.
Please note, your psychologist may be required to provide regular progress reports and update NDIS on your treatment, and mental health condition to help NDIS understand what supports continue to be necessary and reasonable for approved ongoing NDIS funding if required.
